Snowman Cake Pop Recipe
These adorable coconutty snowmen are sure to put a smile on anyone's face! Both delicious and fun to look at, these easy to make winter treats make the perfect holiday gifts!
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs White Bada Bing Bada Boom Dipping & Enrobing Chocolate (no tempering required)
- 1 box of your favorite white or yellow cake mix
- 1 container of your favorite frosting
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- Chocoley Drizzle & Design Chocolate DARK
- Sucker Sticks
Method:
| 1. | Bake Cake according to package directions in any size cake pan. |
| 2. | Remove cake from oven, trim off edges of cake and immediately dump into a large bowl. |
| 3. | It’s easiest to use a food processor, but you can use a fork for this step. Break up the cake into crumbs and then combine the frosting with the cake. If you're doing this using a fork, it's easier to do it while the cake is still warm |
| 4. | Line a cookie sheet with wax paper. |
| 5. | Roll cake mixture into 2-3 different sized balls. The smaller one will sit on top of the larger to make the snowman’s head. If you want a 2-portion snow man, make 2 sizes. If you want a 3-portion snow man make 3 sizes. The largest should be about the size of a golf ball. Place cake balls on the wax paper-lined cookie sheet. |
| 6. | Put cookie sheet into the freezer for 2 hours so that the balls will chill. |
| 7. | After the balls are chilled, melt chocolate according to instructions that came with your Chocoley chocolate. Ideally, use a double boiler (or a double boiler insert). Do not let the water touch the bottom of the double boiler. Only let the water simmer. Do not allow it to boil or you may burn the chocolate. | 8. | Using a spoon, add one frozen cake ball at a time to the melted chocolate and turn to coat. Make one of each size and before the chocolate sets, put a sucker stick through them with the largest ball on the bottom (like a snowman). |
| 9. | Sprinkle shredded coconut over your snowman before the chocolate has set. |
| 10. | Place on Heavy Weight Dipping Sheets and refrigerate until set. |
| 11. | Melt your Drizzle & Design Dark Chocolate according to the instructions. |
| 12. | Take your snowmen out of the refrigerator and draw faces and buttons on them with the Drizzle & Design Chocolate. |
| 13. | Return to refrigerator until set. |
| 14. | Promptly remove from refrigerator and seal in an airtight container until ready to serve. Store at room temperature in low humidity. |
